1. Sādhanā, literally "a means of accomplishing something", is an ego-transcending spiritual practice
What if we step away
we have a seat
and we close our eyes and awaken our innate inner awareness?
What if we learn
to stay a little bit longer
to allow the mind to quiet
to listen to the silence between breaths
What if, for just a moment we discover who we truly are?
Our lips curl up ever so slight
the glimpse creates a rush
a tingle down the spine
a recognition that cannot be forgotten
What if we keep showing up
we keep sitting even after the knees yell
after the mind entices us with colorful nonsense
What if we notice the seconds turn into minutes?
and we are able to stretch that space between
into a dance
into creativity and joy
This would be accomplishing something
something significant for ourselves
Through this discipline and practice of meditation
we are able to shift our own realities
those around us
and through this ripple, the world.
